Who are we?

EDDI? An innovative company that provides consulting services to organizations on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) challenges. We support organizations that wish to improve their practices to adapt to the changing context of society. So that you can access to all talents, EDDI helps you create inclusive work teams (senior management, department, HR, etc.), adapted to the growing diversification of the population, workforce and your customers.

EDDI's proposal: a diagnostic of your practices, linking them with the strategic positioning and culture of your organization; consolidating your vision and goals in terms of EDI, through awareness and reflection workshops; the collaborative development of an EDI action plan, including a change management plan and a communication plan; personalized support in the initial deployment of the action plan and the development of tailor-made training courses aimed at strengthening the internal capacities of your teams; and a final assessment of the achievement of the targeted objectives.

Jean-Philippe Beauregard, (he/him/his), PhD – Lead consultant

A sociologist by training, Jean-Philippe has a dozen years of experience in higher education, mainly as a professor at Cégep Limoilou. Recognized for his ability to popularize knowledge and his pragmatism, he has also developed the art of solving problems with a student body from various backgrounds. With his thesis on discrimination in the hiring of ethnic minorities and women in the Quebec City metropolitan region, Jean-Philippe helped raise awareness of this problem within the province and completed his doctorate in sociology at Université Laval. His articles written in peer-reviewed journals, his presentations at conferences and his interventions in the medias have allowed him to develop expertise in communication and in issues related to EDI in the workplace. Associate researcher at the Centre d’études et de recherches sur les transitions et l’apprentissage (CÉRTA) of Université de Sherbrooke, and the Chaire de recherche sur l’intégration et la gestion des diversités en emploi (CRIDE) of Université Laval, Jean-Philippe also collaborates with the Réseau interuniversitaire québécois pour l’équité, la diversité et l’inclusion (RIQÉDI).

Within EDDI, he mainly deals with the following tasks:

  • Collaborating with the employees of your organization to prepare for data collection;

  • Choosing, adapting and using of appropriate research techniques (e.g., individual interviews, focus groups, observations, literature reviews, surveys, CV tests, etc.);

  • Carrying out analyzes and interpretations in order to make a diagnostic according to your EDI objectives;

  • Carrying out CV tests to reveal and fight against discrimination in hiring;

  • Developing and animating awareness workshops and tailor-made training;

  • Supporting the development of your EDI action plan;

  • Supporting for your teams to build their capacity to successfully deploy the measures included in your action plan.

Thijs Hemeryck, (he/him/his), MBA – Strategic advisor

Holder of a multidisciplinary bachelor's degree with a major in business administration and a minor in anthropology, Thijs also completed an MBA - Strategy and Innovation at Laval University. He has 15 years of experience in project management and 10 years supporting professionals and managers in the deployment of the results-based management approach. As project manager of the cost per course of care and services, Thijs contributed to the success of a large-scale project of strategic importance for the Ministry of Health and Social Services, starting with the consolidation of monitoring, governance and accountability mechanisms. 

Within EDDI, he is primarily responsible for the following tasks:

  • Support for the development of mandates: analysis of the linkage of the proposal to the strategy and context of the organization;

  • Support in consolidating your vision and goals for EDI;

  • Support the development of your EDI action plan;

  • Support for change management aimed at the successful implementation of your action plan.



Giselle Giral, M.A. (she/her) - EDI consultant

Holder of a bachelor's degree in political science at the University of Rosario, in Argentina, Giselle completed a master's degree in history, as well as a DESS in College Teaching at Laval University. She is a passionate professional with rich experience in the fields of teaching, history and research. She has all analytical skills essential for understanding complex political and social dynamics. His professional career is rooted in the belief that education, understanding history, and advancing equality and social justice are essential to creating an inclusive and equitable society. As a bilingual content management coordinator at a non-profit organization serving immigrants and refugees, her role is to support the achievement of equality, access and participation for immigrants and refugees in all aspects of Canadian life, with particular emphasis on anti-racism and the fight against oppression.
